GT-SAT GT-dLNB2T 32UB dCSS + Hybrid Out + Terrestic In LNB
Example 1 - dCSS connection | Example 2 - dCSS + Legacy connection | |
De GT SAT GT-dLNB2T is a programmable LNB and is dCSS compatible; the LNB has 2 dCSS outputs in dynamic mode, which allows the connection of -16 connnections per output- max 32 satellite set-top boxes (or TV's with DVB-S2 tuners), and 1 legacy output. The satellite receivers (or TV's with DVB-S2 tuners), which are connected to the dCSS output, need to support the dCSS/Unicable protocol. Multiple models satellite receivers support dCSS, like for instance the Edision Piccollo.
One of the three LNB-ports of the GT-dLNB2T is a legacy output. Via the legacy port a standard satellite TV connection can be set-up, i.e. for a satellite receiver which is not dCSS compatible.
In static mode, the modus in which the LNB can be programmed with the programmer GT-dC2 or with the software dConfigurator® of GT-SAT, max 32 transponders can be transmitted via one coax kable.
Next to satellite signals it's possible to connect via this LNB a terrestic antenna to transmit a terrestic signal as well via the same coax cable.
dCSS means "Digital Channel Stacking Switch"; it converts received satellite signals to "user bands".
The converter transponders are combined/ transferred via one single coax cable to the set-top box(es).
Communication between the dCSS-multiswitches and the connected satellite receivers is based on a specific protocol (EN50494 unicable I & EN50607 unicable II), based on DiSEqC-control.
- Single based cable technology (dCSS/ unicable) - allows the transfer of the DVB-S/ S2 satellite signal via 'only' one coax cable
- Lower installation cost - due to the need of only one coax cable
- Easy splitting of SAT-signals + easy adding of terrestic signals
